Good to know

You are sure to get the "Old Florida" experience here at the Grove. Located on a retired orange grove, next to a spring-fed river, among century old cypress trees. The cottage is located at the front of the property, in a traditional neighborhood setting, right on Gobbler Drive, but you will have access to the entire property to get away from it all! *Know that the cottage is not secluded, it is right on Gobbler Drive, but a few steps east will give you access to our 66-acre property that is a wilderness of natural beauty. Our property is just minutes away from some of the most famous springs in Florida, such as Crystal River Springs, Rainbow River Springs, Homosassa Springs, just to name a few! Besides spending a day snorkeling among the manatees, you can find plenty of other outdoor activities to do - canoeing, kayaking, and hiking - all right here on the property or just a drive away. There is a public boat ramp to access the Floral City Chain of Lakes just down the road (.25 miles away) if you plan on bringing a boat. You may park your boat, trailer, RV, on the property, no problem. Feel free to harvest some citrus during your stay! We love to share our abundance and know there are few things like harvesting your own food. Enjoy as breakfast, a snack, or squeeze your own orange juice! Please note, we allow pets at this listing but we charge a $20 pet clean fee PER ANIMAL. You will be responsible for sending this payment through Airbnb, or leaving cash - the clean fee goes directly into the pockets of our dedicated cleaning staff. Thank you in advance!

Other Details to Note

The Grove Cottage is a bit "off the beaten path" as they like to say - nestled back in a small neighborhood with NO wifi and no TV. And to make it clear, the actual cottage is near the front of the property - you will be right off the road, next to other homes, just as in a traditional neighborhood. The seclusion takes place on the 66 acres behind the cottage, which you will have access to explore! The neighbors are very kind and helpful. You will surely experience some good ol' southern hospitality here so no need to worry about safety. Also, as the property is located on the Floral City chain of lakes, there is a chance to see alligators near the river on the property. Be mindful, as it is Florida and although this is a common sighting to the locals, it could be very startling! Please note, we allow pets at this listing but we charge a $20 pet clean fee PER ANIMAL. You will be responsible for sending this payment through Airbnb, or leaving cash - the clean fee goes directly into the pockets of our dedicated cleaning staff. Thank you in advance!

Returning to Tara's farm for a second visit was an absolute delight. This stay was even more memorable than the first. Tara and her crew welcomed me back like an old friend, and their hospitality remained top-notch. The serene environment of the farm continues to be its standout feature. The peaceful surroundings, coupled with the charming presence of the animals, made for a truly relaxing escape. It felt like a breath of fresh air to be back amidst such natural beauty. The accommodations were, once again, cozy and well-appointed, ensuring a comfortable stay. I loved starting my mornings with a cup of coffee while taking in the stunning views and enjoying the tranquility of the farm. Tara's farm is a perfect retreat for anyone seeking peace and nature, and it’s clear why I was drawn back for a second visit. I highly recommend this wonderful getaway and look forward to my next stay!

What a wonderful escape right here in our own backyard. Tara was a great host and it was such a pleasant experience to stay on their farm. Definitely enjoyed the North 40 hike with our furbaby. We would stay here again and recommend to all our friends and family.
